who is he

Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Hannes Dreyer started his first business at age ten and made his first million by thirty. He failed his matric and had to redo it to gain university entry — then dropped out of the University of Pretoria a few semesters later. What followed was a career built entirely on results, not credentials.

He began as a financial advisor in 1982 and over the next decade became one of the most decorated financial professionals in South Africa — qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table, Court of the Table, and Top of the Table. He retired from financial planning at 37, financially free, having identified the gap between what conventional financial advice teaches and what actually builds wealth.

That gap became his life's work. For more than two decades he has taught the Wealth Creators Strategy™ — a practical, result-based system for building real wealth — to thousands of South Africans. Everything he teaches has been publicly documented, independently verified, and applied in real challenges conducted under the scrutiny of live audiences and independent accounting firms.

The 1 cent challenge — origin story

She said impossible.
He said challenge accepted.

One day Dr Dreyer and his wife Tanja were driving when she pulled a 1 cent coin from her purse and laughed — "Look at this. I didn't even know I still had one." In South Africa, the 1 cent coin hasn't been minted since around 2002. Shops don't bother with them. Effectively worthless.

Dr Dreyer looked at her and asked: "What do you think that one cent in your hand is worth if you apply the Wealth Creators Strategy™ to it?" She grinned. "Most ideas are just like this coin — basically worthless."

"You're not wrong. An idea by itself is worthless. But the moment you apply the right strategy, that's when the coin comes alive."

Dr Dreyer holds an MSc and PhD. His MSc research focused on residential property as an investment instrument. His PhD was a closed, interdisciplinary, result-based doctorate — where he declared an impossible goal, proved it step by step applying the Wealth Creators Strategy™ until it became reality, and it was accepted because the outcome spoke louder than theory.
